The Student Activity Council (SAC) at IISER Berhampur, established in August 2017, empowers student voices, bridges the gap between students and administration, and enhances student life on campus. It focuses on overall development, promoting character, communal spirit, health and well-being, academic excellence, a healthy academic environment, extracurricular activities, nurturing talents, life skills, and ensuring discipline and a harassment-free campus.
The SAC is led by an elected governing body headed by the President and supported by multiple councils: Sports Activities Council (S-SAC), Cultural and Social Activities Council (C-SAC), Science and Career Development Council (SC-DC), Student Welfare Council (SWS), Publication and Outreach Council (POC), General Secretary (GS-PG), Senate Representatives for BS-MS (SR-UG) and PHD (SR-PHD) students. These councils collaborate with the President, Dean of Academic Affairs, and Dean of Student Affairs to address academic and student issues, serving as a vital platform for student growth and well-being at IISER Berhampur.
