ABOUT US
The Student Activity Council (SAC) at IISER Berhampur, formed in August 2017, promotes student voices, connects students with the administration, and enriches campus life. Its focus is on the holistic growth of students, fostering character, community spirit, health and well-being, a supportive academic environment, extracurricular pursuits, talent development, life skills, discipline, and a harassment-free campus. We ensure students' concerns are effectively communicated to the administration and regulate all student activities on campus.
How SAC Operates
The SAC is led by an elected student representative, headed by the President and supported by multiple councils: Students- Sports Activities Council (S-SAC), Cultural and Social Activities Council (C-SAC), Science Council (SC), Career Development Council (CDC), Student Welfare Sub-Council (SWS), Publications and Outreach Council (POC), General Secretary (GS-PG), Senate Representatives for BS-MS (SR-UG) and PHD (SR-PG), and Student Mess Committee (SMC). These councils collaborate with the President, Dean of Student Affairs, and Dean of Academic Affairs to address student and academic issues, serving as a vital platform for students growth and well-being at IISER Berhampur.
We focus on solving student issues, distributing funds to student-run clubs, and organizing major campus events and sports meets throughout the academic year.
