Behavioral Biology with Prithwiraj Debnath
The inaugural episode featured Prithwiraj Debnath, a BS-MS student from the 2021 cohort, who introduced the audience to the intriguing field of behavioral biology. His talk began with an overview of behavioral biology as a discipline, encompassing how animals, including humans, interact with their environments and respond to stimuli. Prithwiraj then delved into the major sub-disciplines within behavioral biology, covering ethology, neurobiology, and evolutionary aspects of behavior. By linking these concepts to everyday examples, he made the subject approachable and engaging, demonstrating the relevance of behavioral studies to both ecological and human-centered research.
