Influx 2024

On August 9, 2024, the Oasis Club of IISER Berhampur participated as a representative in Influx 2024, an event aimed at welcoming and introducing new students to the various campus clubs. As one of the institute's most active and influential organizations, Oasis shared its mission of ecological awareness, environmental advocacy, and scientific exploration with the newcomers. The club highlighted its past achievements and outlined its aspirations for future initiatives, such as nature walks and sustainability campaigns. Oasis representatives made a strong effort to engage with the new students, explaining the clubs role in fostering an eco-conscious community and encouraging active participation.To further connect with newcomers, the club introduced an interactive element, an Opinion Box labeled "What Do You Expect from Oasis?" This initiative invited students to anonymously share their thoughts, suggestions, and expectations for the club. By encouraging open communication, Oasis aimed to ensure that its growth aligns with the interests and needs of the new members. The event successfully established a solid foundation for future collaboration, reinforcing Oasiss commitment to creating an inclusive, impactful community dedicated to environmental education and advocacy.

During the event, the Oasis Club representatives shared the clubs aspirations and ambitions, highlighting past achievements and upcoming initiatives. This engagement offered newcomers an opportunity to understand the clubs role as a platform for scientific inquiry, nature exploration, and environmental education. By detailing ongoing projects and events, such as nature walks, awareness campaigns, and sustainability discussions, the presentation underscored Oasiss dedication to fostering a community of eco-conscious students. The representatives encouraged new students to become active participants, contributing their ideas and enthusiasm to further the clubs environmental impact.

Gathering Perspectives and Expectations through the Oasis Opinion Box

 

To foster an inclusive environment and understand the expectations of new students, Oasis Club introduced an Opinion Box labeled What Do You Expect from Oasis? This initiative invited students to share their thoughts, suggestions, and aspirations for the clubs future. By anonymously submitting their perspectives, newcomers could openly express their hopes for the club, including potential activities, areas of focus, or community projects. The Opinion Box created an interactive platform for dialogue, ensuring that the clubs growth aligns with the interests and needs of its newest members.
