Cyberscape

Cyberscape is a cybersecurity awareness initiative organized by the Lovelace Society, the Tech Club at IISER Berhampur, as part of the National Cybersecurity Awareness Month (NCSAM) under the theme “Cyber Jagrit Bharat”. The event aimed to educate students about digital safety, cyber threats, and responsible online practices in an increasingly connected world.

Through interactive sessions and practical demonstrations, participants were introduced to common cybersecurity risks and the methods used to prevent them. The program focused on building awareness and encouraging safe digital behavior among students.

The event featured:

• Live Hacking Demonstrations – Showcasing how common attacks such as phishing and password breaches occur.
• Cyber Safety Practices – Guidance on strong passwords, two-factor authentication, and secure browsing habits.
• Threat Awareness Session – Understanding malware, social engineering, and data privacy risks.
• Interactive Simulations – Real-life scenarios to identify and respond to cyber threats.
• Cyber Awareness Quiz – Assessing participants’ understanding of digital security concepts.

The event received enthusiastic participation and helped students develop a stronger understanding of cybersecurity essentials, supporting the vision of Lovelace Society to promote digital awareness and responsible technology use.
