Lovelace Society, the Tech Club at IISER Berhampur, has been at the forefront of promoting esports on campus, providing a platform for gaming enthusiasts to showcase their skills and compete at the highest level.
Recently, we organized the Kyrat Esports Tournament, a thrilling competition that brought together some of the best
gaming talent at IISER Berhampur. With 16 teams each for BGMI, CODM, FREEFIRE and Valorant, the tournament saw intense battles
across all three games, where players demonstrated their strategic gameplay, teamwork, and precision.
The event featured an exciting prize pool of ₹10,000, which added to the competitive spirit and excitement. Beyond the
competition, the tournament fostered a strong sense of community among students who share a passion for esports, making
it a memorable event for players and spectators alike.
In preparation for the Inter IISER Esports Meet (IIESM) 2024, hosted by IISER Pune, we conducted official tryouts to
select the best teams to represent IISER Berhampur. The tryouts saw 2 BGMI teams, 1 CODM team, and 1 Valorant team
competing for a chance to participate in this prestigious inter-institutional esports event.
As part of our commitment to fostering esports culture, we played a key role in organizing practice matches, managing
team registrations, and coordinating with the main tournament organizers. Our goal is to support and equip our teams
with the best possible resources to compete at the highest level and bring glory to IISER Berhampur.
With competitive gaming gaining momentum, Esports at IISER Berhampur is set to grow even further. Whether you're a
seasoned player or just getting started, there’s always a place for you in our ever-expanding gaming community!
