Talks & Invited Lectures

The Talks & Invited Lectures series organized by the Lovelace Society, the Tech Club at IISER Berhampur, showcases expert sessions delivered by faculty members and researchers on emerging technology-driven domains. These sessions, conducted in both online and offline modes, focus on the role of modern computational tools and technological advancements in interdisciplinary scientific research, helping students explore real-world applications and research pathways.

The series has featured talks from experts working across diverse areas of technology and data-driven science. Some of the sessions include:

• Dr. Tanmay Basu – His research focuses on Biomedical Informatics, Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing (NLP), and Text Mining for knowledge discovery from medical records, scientific literature, and other unstructured data. He leads the Biomedical Data Science Lab and works on developing computational tools for healthcare and data-driven research.

These sessions provided valuable insights into current research trends, interdisciplinary applications of technology, and potential career and research opportunities for students in emerging tech-oriented fields.
