Welcome to the Sports Sub Council, the heartbeat of our institute's athletic spirit and excellence! Our mission is to promote physical fitness, teamwork, and sportsmanship among students, fostering an environment where everyone can thrive both on and off the field. Here’s a glimpse into how we work and what we do.

Coordinating Sports clubs

The Sports Council plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and success of the Sports Club within the institute. Its responsibilities are broad and multifaceted, encompassing everything from event planning to student engagement. Our goal is to make sports accessible to everyone and involve as many students as possible in various sports and physical activities, regardless of their skill level or experience, and foster an inclusive environment where everyone feels welcome to participate.

Organising Events

We meticulously plan and execute a variety of sports events that cater to all interests and skill levels. Organizing events like Lakshya and National Sports Day (NSD) is a highlight of our year at the Sports Club, showcasing intense competitions and exceptional talent across various sports. We also participate in Inter IISER Sports Meet (IISM).These events not only bring excitement and camaraderie but also promote a healthy and active lifestyle among students.

Encouraging participation

We encourage students to get involved in sports activities by organising various sports event, marathon runs and other recreational activities. We aim to instill a love for sports and physical activity that extends beyond institute life and encourage habits and attitudes that support long-term health and fitness.

Leadership and Support

Our Sports Secretary, S-SAC along with the core sports sub-council members, plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth functioning of all sports activities.
